POST 7 >> "TV SHOWS AND SERIES " I really liked the theme of the post! As a child I did have a favourite children's series and it would be The Simpsons. We are six brothers, but from the fourth onwards we started with this fanaticism of seeing them every afternoon without fail while we ate together at the table, since my mom just arrived from work and the atmosphere was very happy. It is a series of an American family that shows situations that can be everyday for many, and that was what I liked the most, but with that sarcastic or satire touch that characterises it. I really like animated series because they relax me a lot when I'm anxious or stressed, it's like a tool where my brain automatically relaxes. I don't know if it's good, like everything in life I think that with limits and supervision, I wouldn't see the bad. In particular, I don't own since it would deprive me of sharing those instances of seeing something in company. As a curio...

POST 6 > ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES The experience I have had in the English subjects has been good, the truth is that they have been good since most teachers are preparing to give good classes, especially for those like me who cost us a lot of English. I would prefer that I did not have so many restrictions and that in some cases they could explain things in Spanish, since there are situations that no matter how slow they speak, not knowing much English, I do not understand the activity or class and I get lost hahaha, re sad but I still there listening. I liked blogs a lot since I feel it's an entertaining interaction where I can talk about different things and share it with my colleagues, I've received nice comments from people I still don't know in person but I was very happy to read them haha :). I think everything, but it's harder for me to write, read or listen in English and understand it than to speak it, I think the latter is a little easier for me. I plan...

POST 5 -> CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME.   The curriculum of my current career is really that I like it quite a lot, but I would suggest some changes. The field of psychology is very broad, so it should be limited by providing specific careers in the general areas that compete with them. Now, at the University of Chile, one can take clinical, educational, labour, community and legal electives, it is something that in my opinion should be separate careers and not just stay with the elective ones. That would achieve a more focussed career in less time, three or four years, than the five that normally lasts. I think that in the faculty there should be shared buildings but different from the different areas, with their necessary programs and tools, such as the mirror room in Clinic and the programs for Legal or Community. Regarding teaching methods, I think it should be as it is today, although it would reinforce group work in an environment where interaction is favoured with...

POST 4: TIME TRAVEL TO THE PAST OR FUTURE

Imagen
Hello everyone! I'm new to this English section :)  I find this topic about the past and the future extremely interesting, I think it is one of the possibilities that we often wonder where we would like to go if we were given that possibility of travelling back in time.  The truth is that I would like to go to the past, specifically in my school stage. I spent 13 years in the same school and had a great time, I met many people who until today are important to me.  I played too much, I had time to study, go to extra-programmatic workshops, I was able to develop many skills and grow up surrounded by people who sought to positively influence one. That's why I would like to stay here in the past.  Perhaps, I could warn the Javi of the past of certain things that would be very important in her future!

Post 3: My dream job

Imagen
Hello everyone! It's my third blog post :)  In the not too distant future I would like to work as a psychologist, the truth is that I a feel that I have a vocation and that it is something that would fill my heart a lot. I think it's a very nice job but also fundamental in society.  I imagine having my private practice in some environment that is totally decorated and organised by me, which is a space where we can feel comfortable doing therapy but I also visualise myself in some clinic exercising.  I think that one of the most important skills that must be had in this labour is empathy. If you have not developed a strong empathy, it will be difficult to connect whit another person and that is the basis of therapy. You can have many therapeutic exercises, metaphors and studies, but if you do not have the ability to get the patient to connect whit you, it will be difficult to perform psychotherapy.  The salary for what I have seen of close people who already work, exc...

My best vacations

This was in 2015, I was still in school and the big "study tour" was coming. I was extremely excited as I had never participated in something like this and without the parents present. At the beginning the trip started from Santiago to Bariloche, Argentina. After staying a few days there, we returned to the south of Chile, visiting different regions. All this lasted a week but it is as if it had lasted much longer, since as I had participated in this trip for a large part of the course we were in constant activity and movement so as not to waste a single moment! In Bariloche we went to many places with abundant nature, going to restaurants and typical places in the area since, being small, we were able to visit it easily in one day. That was the first time I went to a disco! all very funny. Then here in Chile there were also many scout-style group activities that made us feel like girls since it was hide-and-seek, jumping rope, among others. It is a very nice memory because I...

POST 1°: A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT

Imagen
When I am asked what country I would like to visit, I always think of Brazil. Since I was very young I have been attracted by its touristic sides, especially Rio de Janeiro, since one of my brothers has traveled there on more than one occasion, telling us how special it is.  I consider that being a big country within Latin America, it can offer many panoramas to visit, such as the Amazon, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and its different beaches.  Some time ago, a relative on my father's side told us that he lives in Brasilia with his family. He learned Portuguese quickly and that helped him a lot to get by in the country. He fell in love with the people and the places, he says that it is a very friendly environment to live in.  I hope that in the not too distant future I can go there and take my mom with me, she is religious and longs to take a picture with Christ the Redeemer that is located there. It would be a very nice experience for both of us :).
